you know those little trick advertisement things that pop up on the side of the window while you´re on the internet? the ones that always say you've won something that's very obviously too good to be real by being the 8763231278945219975632 person to visit that page? like ¨ congratulations! you have 50 80gb ipods waiting!¨or ¨congratulations! you´ve won the patent to manufacture the malaria vaccine!!¨

well this morning i saw one that said i could be the lucky winner of ¨one free year¨ in the us. it actually tried to pass off the idea that if i clicked on it, i could claim my free no-strings-attached green card and live and work in the us for one full year without penalty. the funniest part was that apparently i had won this through a green card lottery that the us government holds every month. i mean, come on. i thought they at least had to make those things a little bit real. they weren't even trying...

in other news i´ve been sick for the past 189 days. with something that just keeps nagging and hanging on. every morning i wake up and feel like i´m about to die and then throughout the course of the day things kind of level out to where i only feel as though i would like to die. but no matter. i haven´t gone to class in over a week which has given me ample time to study and work on my final paper for spanish. and by that i clearly mean check facebook and myspace 6 times a day, blog, and generally dick around on the internet. but it's back to class tomorrow. i swear. only like 2 weeks left and i'd like to try to learn one or two more things before i go.

and by learn, i mean not miss out on any opportunities to properly judge certain people in my class...
