^Aloha...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnd SCENE!
^This concludes one family weekend. It was really good to see my mommy. I didn't realize I missed her that much. And my grandma and my aunt were here, so you KNOW it was a good time. Sorry I didn't introduce you to any of them...I was just being selfish. But then again what's new?
^ I learned two invaluable lessons today.
1) It is virtuous and comical to take advantage of the university.
2) Squirrels at Loyola are carazy (spoken a la brian fellow)
1) When you register for family weekend, you have to pay $25 per person. For this, you get a t shirt, one copy of the crappy Phoenix, a parenting magazine, admittance to the overwhelmingly stupid activities that no one goes to and brunch on Sunday morning. Now we didn't go to any of the activities so it would seem as though they paid $25 for the brunch, which is under no circumstances worth that much unless you brazenly steal 6 dozen cookies and hide them in the stupid little tote bag they give you at registration. That is what my aunt and I did. We are awsome. This cannot be denied.
2) As I was walking back from sending the family on their merry way, a squirrel crossed my path. I was amused at first because I noticed said squirrel appeared to be carrying in its mouth something that looked strikingly similar to one of the various assortments of yum-yums that were present at the brunch. But what really got me was when the squirrel stopped right in front of me and looked me right in the eye. Then I'm pretty sure it gave me the "what's up?" nod. You know, the one that heterosexual males use in place of saying hello. Then the squirrel took his yum-yum and his "what's up?" nod and was gone.

^Ah yes, it is once again that time of year. That time when we all register to have Loyola take our money so that we can all come together and pretend like we're not dysfunctional. You guessed it, it's family weekend.
^I've never seen so much exploitation of the parental pocketbooks. No one is all that excited to see their family. Everyone is that excited to see their parents' monies. And I am as guilty of is as the next destitute undergrad. Never let it be said that any of us are naive about what's REALLY going on here.

^Yeah, so some people should be at class right now. Some people are named Taria. Hey, lower that questioning eyebrow. I'm in college, I don't have to go to class. I'm a big girl now. Besides, class is merely a suggestion... and a silly one at that. So I have opted to stay home and do deviant things which have yet to be determined at this juncture. It's not that I don't WANT to go to class - I rather enjoy a good hearty discussion of MLA format now and then - it's just that I find myself getting worn down at this point. It's the university's fault, really. I mean who puts fall break at the beginning of November? Yeah, that's what I thought.

^Aloha... Shit, I had another good weekend. Last week I was puished for it by both of my favorites losing their Game 7s. What will it be this week?
^ I am feeling moody as of late. I know, that's crazy talk. But for some reason I've just been feeling emotional lately. No, not emo Kristin. You don't see me lying face down on my bed with a scarf and stocking cap on now do you?
^But I digress. I think I miss the simplicities of sitting down and getting to know people. As of late I've been meeting so many people from the theatre dept and they all seem to know me and are in love with me. But I want to sit down with them and just talk. Ignoring what they've heard, ignoring what I've heard and just talk.
^Hmm...I don't think that paragraph made any sense whatsoever, but I bet if I pretend that it did, everyone else will be none the wiser.
^Moving on, I think I've been here long enough that I'm ready to move back into the nice phase. For those of you that are new to the various functions of Taria, here they are:
I First, I'm a really nice person.
II. Then I'm a really mean person with regards to my sarcasm.
III. And then I go back to being nice again.
Not many people make it through to the third stage. But I am feeling rather generous with my affections these days (I think that has something to do with the infamous Ian), so you all might just be in luck.

^Aloha....is Simpson 2nd floor really bad luck for the cubbies?
^So I went down to Wrigleyville last night to watch as the Cubs pounced on the Marlins in a final show of true grit and wonderful sportsmanship, securing their place in the World Series and ending this terrible curse.
Things didn't work out quite as I had planned.
But I did get to witness the Marlins' MVP in action...I even got a picture of him. If you want to see it, click here.
^Yeah, that's him during the eighth inning. His life is officially over. Gov. Jeb Bush offered his ass asylum for a free 3 month stay in an oceanfront condo. He'd better take it. Otherwise, he's dead.

and tend not to do anything unless it is
absolutely necessary. You'd rather sit around,
watch TV/Sleep then go out and about with
friends, or take part in a sporting event. On
the positive side, you tend to be quite smart,

(!!) or on the computer, Also by conserving
your energy, it's right there waiting for you
when it's vitally important to get going.
Consider possibly moving out of the room once in a
while - and perhaps once a week trade watching
TV for half an hour with a walk - and you'll be
back on track.
