so...early. and still, those thingsthatmustbedone hang over my head. like that birthday card i keep reminding myself to buy. my mother's birthday was the 27th, and my dad /did/ buy a card from the both of us, but... a part of me itches with guilt that i didn't buy her a card myself. her birthday just happened to fall on the morning i got home from my night of debauchery at peter's and frankly, i was aiming for "lay down on the couch and pass out for three hours" as opposed to "go to the mall, brave interactions with other people, and joyfully buy mother a card." what a crappy daughter i am. i will go shopping, mom... i will go today.

Reed is also expecting mail from me. more mail than ever, because they keep sending me things, and those things keep piling up on the dining room table. i am notoriously lazy... i should work on that. in addition to housing forms (which, by the way, are due june 15), i think there are financial whatnots and an academic survey laying around. supposedly, my counselor-person wants to know what i think my learning style is, etc. well... math and i do not get along. everything else is fairly decent. and i'm arty, so i guess that means i'm a visual learner.

another snag i have hit recently revolves around the issue of a photo for my Reed id. i'm supposed to send one, but my senior pictures are not (in my opinion) very accurate representations of me. i'd go so far to say they're downright sucky. to remedy this, i intend to go to walmart soon and scout photo package prices. to all of you, my associates, who did not recieve a senior picture from me: if you want a walmart headshot, tell me. i'll even write on it.

on a completely unrelated note, it seems as if colin has been borrowing my social drives. while he has been actively seeking his friends, i've been hiding in my house. i just don't want to go anywhere for some reason. i'm a chick... it's probably horomones. maybe i'm turning agorophobic. it's too bad i didn't pay more attention to that particular division of ap psych. it's strange... there's just this little funny little ache that's preventing me from wanting to do anything. i'm not exactly sure what's wrong with me, but i'm giving into this antisocial demon. i figure if i hide in my house long enough, maybe it'll go away. then i can test my associates one by one and figure out who's causing it. the pepetrator will be summarily dealt with. or i could go with some mundane solution like 'it'll disappear on its own.' but where's the fun in that?

oh man. if the length of this post is any reflection on the future posts of this summer, i'm going to be whining about things a whole lot. oh well. where else is it going to go? someplace healthy, like a good, long talk with my parents? i thought not.

until next time, see you on the other side.
