mood: i told you i'm no good
music: junior boys - in the morning

everybody loves a good quickie, no? here goes.

1. apparently i'm now gainfully employed. upscale brazilian clothing boutique in evanston. i'm less than thrilled at the prospect of catering to stuffy stepford wives, but money is money. and surprisingly enough my apartment, the cable bill, my cell phone, jazz dance shoes, a semi-professional-grade 35mm camera, a new mattress, egg crate, bookshelves, sheets, updated office supplies, university tuition, roadtripping to the SOA protest in november, fall-breaking in miami, and a move to another country in just over a year don't pay for themselves.

2. speaking of a move to another country in a year - yeah, that's happening. i've decided i'm moving back to argentina at the beginning of 2009 to study in Brecha's 3-year dance/movement therapy program. hopefully it will be under the auspices of the fulbright fellowship for which i'm applying. but even without it - i'm headed back south of the border. way south.

3. t-minus 4 days until ira arrives with "the germans." clearly i have nothing but ill intentions for them :)

4. i've noticed some of the bands i've had on heavy rotation are finally getting some of the widespread mainstream recognition they deserve. bueno. you should be listening to this music. it's good for you. trust me.

Amy Winehouse
Aqualung
Feist
HelloGoodbye
Junior Boys
Lily Allen
Mark Ronson

mierda. that wasn't at quick as i had hoped...
