okay, i think i've got things running smoothly now. i had to make a ton of adjustments to the original code i used to come up with what you're looking at. because i wish to see the fruits of my labors laid out in list form, i will now proceed to list my work for you.

1. all the colors are different. all of them.
2. i added side tables to accomodate all the whackiness i thought appropriate for my domain and retitled them to suit my evil needs.
3. i added REAL commenting things from Haloscan.
4. there was no code written in for my archives so i had to download another template and get the code from there.
5. i added in a whole fucking ton of cool shit.

now i know that most of you will say "wtf, mate, it's not like she really did shit anyway." but considering i didn't know anything about css tables and they require so much specificity and it took fucking forever to get it done, i feel a certain amount of pride. yes it is nerdcore pride. but pride nontheless.

so as you take a tour around, you will see the following:

1. islander of the week - one of you cool cats should be up there each week based on something badass you did. so keep your badass levels pretty high and you'll find your way up there.
2.quote of the week - we say so much funny shit, this will not be a problem.
3. island calendar - mainly up there for birthdays. but i'll try to put up as many of the public-invited shenanigans as i can. public-invited referring to those activities not restricted to invite only or secret birthday bashes. if you want something on the calendar, just leave a comment or shoot me an email and i'll get it up there.
4. on the tube - whatever my favorite movie or show is that week. may turn into what's playing at the midnight movie that week. as is the case with this week.
5. rockin the mic - whatever i'm listening to.
6. learning - whatever i'm reading.
7. island dwellers - links to all you cats and your websites. this has folks from both omaha and chicago. feel free to cross explore and get to know people from both my lives. if you want your link up there, post a comment or shoot me an email and i'll get it up there.
8. island favorites - places i roam. if you find something interesting, let me know.
9. i'm working on finding some code to add in pic/profile hoohah, so look for that soon.

so i think that's about it. editing html/css is fucking exhausting. i have a new appreciation for the people that sit around and do this for 20 hours a day. don't get me wrong, i wouldn't ever want to talk to them (see my concerns of 2 posts ago for explanation). but i still give them all webspace high-fives. they would do well in a nerdcore badassmin tournament.

looks like i'll be in bed before sunrise tonight. i'll explain the significance of that tomorrow. but for now, some AIMing and then bed.
