mood: thoughtful
music: gary jules - mad world (donnie darko soundtrack)
okay let me get these things out of the way:
JiP: "Sam, I'm in the mood..." (and then he just stops)
JiP: "Hey, is this popcorn home made?"
Mark: "Yeah, they grew the corn themselves. Didn't you see the corn tree outside?"
Mrs. Farmer: "I'll tell you what he said, he told me to forcibly place the lifeline book in my anus!" - Donnie Darko
funny stuff. anyway, i've been going crazy with all these lyrics lately. i've just been listening to a ton of great stuff - mostly all the brilliance of the royal tenenbaum's soundtrack - and i just love to post the lyrics. not necessarily because i feel like i'm doing the world a favor by placing them here for other's to read - as i am pretty sure most of you skip over them and only read the actual posts - but simply because that's what i like to do. so i was thinking about making a separate blog just for me to put up songs. on a totally separate note, i was thinking i needed a place where i could just put up all of our crazy ass quotes. so maybe that could be in the same place. just a thought. let me know what you guys think...
if you haven't heard, we're having a gathering at sammie meister's house tomorrow - or rather, this evening, at 7:30. a celebration of molly. hot diggity dogs provided by the meyerinks. if you want anything else, go ahead and bring it. also bring you favorite drinks, but keep the alcoholic ones in the trunk till later in the night. wink wink.
watched donnie darko with mayor daub tonight. good stuff. really gets your mind going. one might even say it causes you to break a "mental sweat..."
p.s. i cannot tell you how much the royal tenenbaums soundtrack fukcing rocks. if you don't listen to it, you will die never having truly lived...
but for the sake of continuity, i leave the aforementioned gary jules song.
all around me are familiar faces
worn out faces
worn out faces
bright and early for the daily races
going nowhere
going nowhere
their tears are filling up their glasses
no expression
no expression
hide my head, i want to drown my sorrow
no tomorrow
no tomorrow
and i find kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
these dreams in which i'm dying
are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
i find it hard to take
when people run in circles it's a very very
mad world
mad world
children waiting for the day they feel good
happy birthday
happy birthday
and they feel the way that every child should
sit and listen
sit and listen
went to school and i was very nervous
no one knew me
no one knew me
hello teacher, tell me what's my lesson
look right through me
look right through me
and i find it kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
these dreams in which i'm dying
are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
i find it hard to take
when people run in circles it's a very very
mad world
mad world...
that is all...thank you.
