so many emotions.
ray charles died today. i have this overwhelming sense that we're losing a generation of really remarkable men and women. and that the current generations (including ours) is doing a craptacular job of filling their shoes.
the boys are coming in tonight. it seems somewhat strange that i'm going to see them again so soon. but that's cool, i love those guys. they're good people. and i intend to make adam my new best friend. what can i say? i have an affinity for people that appreciate good art. we connected on the use of "Boo-Urns" and his rendition of Picasso's Old Guitarist. If those aren't grounds to be best friends then what is?
so about my trip to mexico. i can get a ticket from here to chi town using my grandmother's frequent flyer miles. and my aunt has given me her credit card number to pay for the chicago to mazatlan leg of the trip. so basically i can go if i want. but suddenly i am so very scared. i have never believed in my life that something like this could happen to me. it just never had. and i thought it never would. but here i am with the chance of my life staring me in the face and i am perhaps to scared to even take it. which leads me to be even more afraid that if i don't do this, i will never take any great opportunity that comes my way. i have never considered myself a cowardly person, but...
that is all..thank you.
